The epidemic of anxiety among students is on it’s peak




It won’t be wrong saying that the life is running on wheels. Every day is passing as it never started. This world is running so fast that it is near to impossible to shake a hand with it. Same is the problem faced by the students in their academic lives.  
Are they only responsible for it? Are they only the cause of it? Why are students depressed? What are factors that are leading them into anxiety? It is the issue that is to be discussed on large scale. Why are they always into books? Just to be called as bookworms? Or it is something more? They are the students needing help.

I may be the victim to so, I think I can discuss it for many like me. We are bound to be perfect as we have to fulfill the expectations of many. Ahhh…. It gives me a sigh. And I myself find that, why it is only thing left with students to accomplish? But, then, again to survive with others we have to have something in hands. As the DEGREE……..
Yes, it is needed, not for yourself only but for most lucrative career paths. Again it is also a fact that many get along quite nicely without a degree. That is another debate. Let us not go into it.


My issue is how to deal with the depressed creatures of the book world? How to face with the anxiety then? There are mental as well as the biological causes too.
In stressful environment a student’s body releases a hormone that is adrenaline. It prepares a body for the stressful condition and may be also referred as the fight-to-fight response. It does not work always if the symptoms are worse.
If I talk about the mental causes that includes the student’s expectations. As if I am giving exam and I am sure that I am not well prepared, definitely will become anxious before even attempting. The anxiety can be in a way as you experience it once and have a fear of facing it again in the same situation.

What is to be done than?
First of all banish all the negative thoughts. They are the root cause of creating problem and anxiety for you. Never thing that you cannot do. There is nothing in this world that is impossible. There is a way to all problems.
Secondly, prepare well and have a confidence in what you have the knowledge about. Thirdly, don’t cramp everything as your mind won’t deal when overburden. Have your mind at ease. One of the striking phenomenon is that students keep awake all night.

O poor souls! How can you write something good with lack of sleep and being drowsy? Sleep is must and stop studying before the night of your exams.  Take deep breaths before attempting anything and calm yourself. 
Lastly, don’t go for the perfection. We all make small and big mistakes. No one is perfect, so, just have this in mind that you worked for it not only for being perfect. Do your best, this is all you need!
So, push yourself and work hard in your silence and let your success speak for you.
